Absolutely convinced that he was the only blue lobster bean in the Molasses Sea, Fathom often felt like a misfit amongst his kind. So much so, that he eventually made his way to the cold and mysterious Sleeping Sea. There he met Shadow Shark, who helped Fathom realize it was alright to be different, and things have looked brighter ever since for this deep blue bean.
